What it's like
Uptown Bonifacio is a 15.4-hectare Megaworld township on the north side of BGC, built around Uptown Mall, a five-level mall with cinemas, and the restaurants of Uptown Parade. Next door is Federal Land's Grand Central Park, home to the Grand Hyatt Manila and Mitsukoshi BGC, a Japanese department-store mall that fully opened in July 2023. Most towers here went up from the mid-2010s on, so buildings are newer and taller than in older parts of BGC.
It suits singles and couples who want a mall, a supermarket and a gym in the same block, and families with children at The British School Manila or International School Manila, both on University Parkway a short walk east. Rents span a wide range: a 1BR at Uptown Parksuites starts around ₱40,000 a month, while Grand Hyatt Residences costs as much as anywhere in BGC.
You can walk to most daily needs, and the malls are an air-conditioned shortcut at midday. High Street is about 10–15 minutes on foot and St. Luke's about 10. The BGC Bus North route runs from Uptown to EDSA Ayala. Evenings are busier around the mall and Uptown Parade than on the residential streets. BGC as a whole rarely floods: a detention tank under Burgos Circle holds up to 22,000 cubic meters of storm water and releases it after the rain. The roads out of BGC are another matter, so plan around rush hour and heavy rain (see Getting around).

- Uptown Parksuites: Megaworld's 50-storey tower across from Uptown Mall. Our best-value pick: 1BR (38 sqm) about ₱40,000/mo, 1BR + helper's room (66 sqm) about ₱70,000/mo, with on-site day care.
- Grand Hyatt Manila Residences: luxury tower by Federal Land at 8th Ave / 35th St. 2BR (104–110 sqm) about ₱170,000–185,000/mo; popular for corporate leases.
- One Uptown Residence: a 45-storey Megaworld tower finished around 2016, across from Uptown Mall. 2BR asking rents run about ₱100,000–120,000/mo.
- Uptown Ritz Residence: a 45-storey Megaworld tower of 2- to 4-bedroom suites with few units per floor, turned over from 2018.
- Uptown Arts Residence and Uptown Modern: Megaworld's newer towers in the township; check completion status per tower before you sign.
- The Seasons Residences: Federal Land's towers above Mitsukoshi BGC, built with Japanese partners. Haru Tower was turned over in 2024 and Natsu Tower in 2025.

- ST. ALi: Melbourne-style roaster café at Grand Hyatt Residences, also good for brunch.
- Key Coffee Kissaten and % Arabica Mitsukoshi BGC, both in Mitsukoshi BGC.
- Mamou: the steakhouse and bistro has an Uptown branch as well as its Serendra original.
- Wine Story: wine bar and shop at One Uptown Residence.
- Uptown Parade and the mall's ground floor have plenty of casual chains for weeknights.
Everyday life
- Malls: Uptown Mall (fashion, cinemas, dining) and Mitsukoshi BGC.
- Groceries: Landers Superstore Uptown (warehouse club), Mitsukoshi Fresh (Japanese food hall), plus Uptown Mall branches of Healthy Options and The Marketplace.
- Work: WeWork Uptown Bonifacio Tower 3 and WeWork Menarco Tower on 32nd St.
- Kids: Kidzooona (indoor soft play, Uptown Mall) and the Uptown Mall cinemas, with recliners and a bed cinema.
- Schools: The British School Manila (BSM), International School Manila (ISM), MGC New Life Christian Academy and Everest Academy Manila are all on the east side, within walking distance or a short ride.
- Health: St. Luke's Medical Center – Global City is about 0.7 km away; Elevate Dental BGC has a branch in Mitsukoshi, and Centre Médicale Internationale (CMI) is at Ore Central, 31st St.
